Fall colors in Vermont, there is nothing like it anyplace else in the United States. The best way to see mother nature in all her colorful splendor is by private charter. We invite you to join us for a spectacular
four day rail cruise through Vermont in New England during the fall colors. This four day excursion runnining over the Vermont Railway and Green Mountain Railroad will present to you some of the most awesome scenery in New England. The mountains and countryside are covered in blazing color that signals winter is again approaching. Each day on our rail cruise we will make stops at historic villages along the route and for the rail photographers we will make daily photo run-bys too!
Our tour starts and ends in historic and colorful Burlington, Vermont on Lake Champlain.
TUESDAY OCTOBER 7: (L) Our charter passenger train departs from Burlington, Vermont on the shores of Lake Champlain at 8am for the southbound journey to Rutland. Today we will be running on the Vermont Railway. As we travel towards Rutland we will make several stops in small Vermont villages to give you the opportunity to explore the New England way of life. As we make our way south we will be passing through such classic New England towns and villages as: Charlotte, Vergennes, Middlebury, Salisbury, Brandan and Proctor. Upon arrival in Rutland we will transfer you to the nearby Comfort Inn and Hampton Inn for hotel check-in. You will have the same hotel and room for the next 3 nights.

WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 8: (CB-L) You will have the morning hours to explore colorful Rutland before we reboard our charter train and continue our fall colors rail journey. We are scheduled to depart Rutland around 10:00am . From Rutland we will switch off onto the Green Mountain Railroad and head southeast towards the Green Mountains of Vermont. Again, we will be making stops at interesting and historic old New England towns and villages for you to explore. Today we will be running through such towns as: East Clarendon, Cuttingsville, East Wallingford and Mt. Holly before arrival in Ludlow. Ludlow is in the heart of Green Mountain country and is one of the most popular year round resorts in Vermont. After paying a visit to this village we will board buses for the transfer back to your hotel in Rutland. By hiway the transfer will only take about 35 minutes.
THURSDAY OCTOBER 9: (CB-L) In the morning we transfer back to Ludlow to reboard our charter train and continue in a southeast direction across Vermont and through the spectacular Green Mountains in full blazing fall colors. We will run through such Vermont towns and villages as: Proctorvilles, Cavednish, Gassetts, Chester Depot, Bartonsville (Bartsonsville Covered Bridge), Brockway Mills before arriving in Bellow Falls. You will have time to explore Bellows Falls whilte are train is being turned around and served. The downtown area is just one block from the depot. We then reboard and head back across Vermont in a northwest direction to Rutland.
FRIDAY OCTOBER 10: (CB-L) On our last day we plan to depart Rutland around 9am and start the journey north back to Burlington with a planned arrival of 6:00pm.

York station and catch the Lake Champlain ferry to Burlington.
